What a brilliant weekend in Portugal at the APSL Cavalo Lusitano, the Lusitano stallion approvals show. Our team in Portugal, headed by RR Horseinternational (Ricardo Reis) presented Querer SC for approvals, where he was accepted as a Recommended stallion.
We sourced Querer SC for our wonderful client Jenny Knight towards the end of 2025, and her goal was to have him Approved before bringing him to the US. We are so grateful for the opportunity Jenny provided us with, and we are so thrilled for her at the results.
I cannot wait to see Querer SC in person in the US, he is so handsome and so incredibly sweet, he left a mark on me as one of the standout horses I had the privilege of trying in Portugal in 2025.
From Jenny Knight: "BIG news from Portugal this weekend! My new handsome stallion, ‘Querer SC’ ( Rubi AR / Itaca D Atela / Tixaquir )was APPROVED as a breeding stallion at the APSL Cavalo Lusitano inspection…..with a super score!!! After purchasing him in the fall I decided to leave him in training with Ricardo Reis in preparation for the inspection. Ricardo has done an incredible job of preparing him and Raquel Falcão has done a beautiful job riding and presenting him. There were 95 stallions over the three days!!! To say I am thrilled with the outcome is an understatement…..lots of stress watching the live feed! I can’t THANK Elizabeth McConnell and Ricardo Reis enough for finding him for me! Now to get him home."
